Bug-N-A-Rug Exterminators has been providing quality and dependable service to homes, agencies, schools, and local businesses since the moment our doors opened. One of the largest independently owned full-service pest control companies in the state of North Carolina, protecting the health and property of over 20,000 homes and businesses. We provide Residential Pest Control, Commercial Pest Control, Termite Control, Rodent Control, Live-Animal trapping, Mosquito, and Moisture Control.

A Little History
Founded by Sue and Elliott Hollingsworth, we opened our doors on March 1st, 1996 with 2 employees and one office. Within 25 years, we have grown into 80 employees and 3 locations across Southeastern NC. By year-end 2020, we were named by Pest Control Technology Magazine as one of the Top 100 pest control companies in the United States and have been named as such every year thereafter.
Now owned and operated by their son Stan Hollingsworth, Bug-N-A-Rug’s roots run deep in the Wilmington NC area. Stan, a boating enthusiast, takes pride in captaining a local family-owned company where people can come and be successful, have educational opportunities, and grow within.
